In our separate surgery suite, we have excellent monitoring devices, adjustable surgery table, overhead surgical lights, a pass through storage area, and a Bair Hugger. Our monitoring devices monitor: heart rate and rhythm, oxygenation of the blood, carbon dioxide levels, systolic and diastolic blood pressure, as well as respiration rate. These are all used to monitor depth of anesthetic and the well being of the patient. When under anesthetic, patients are not able to regulate their own body temperature. To counteract this and prevent hypothermia, we use the Bair Hugger. The Bair Hugger is a forced air warming blanket, which provides a safe and efficient heat source during surgery. The surgeries that we provide here range from spaying and neutering, lumpectomies, and even wing repairs on bats. We also have board certified surgeons that use our surgery suite to repair bone fractures, cruciate tears, and TPLO knee replacements.
